The mission of the Inditex-UDC Chair of Sustainability consists of generating an ecosystem that fosters the transformation towards sustainable, innovative, and socially responsible organizations. Established in 2010, it is a result of the agreement between Inditex and the University of A Coruña (UDC), promoted by the Social Council of the UDC. This mission is upheld through the Chair’s scope of action, comprised of four main fields:
Through the Expert Course on Sustainability and Social Innovation (CESIS, according to its Spanish denomination), a postgraduate program from UDC, oriented towards organizational practice.
Using learning-service projects and Living Labs in collaboration with organizations in the community.
On the topics of sustainability and social responsibility of organizations, with special attention to university institutions.
Creating an open, public space for discussion through the “En Código Abierto” conference cycle, the CESIS alumni network, and virtual communities.
