POSTGRADUATE COURSE IN SUSTAINABILITY AND SOCIAL INNOVATION

Information

Sustainability and social responsibility conditionate the way in which a growing number of organizations, both public and private, achieve their objectives of creating economic value and relate to their stakeholders and society as a whole, creating social and environmental value. From the strategic point of view, the sustainable behavior and responsible commitment of the organizations can favor their competitiveness, by improving their relations with key stakeholders such as customers, employees or suppliers, their risk management or their capacity for innovation.

Presentation

The Postgraduate Course in Sustainability and Social Innovation, promoted by the Inditex-UDC Chair of Sustainability and the Social Council of the University of A Coruña (UDC), will facilitate the specialization of professionals from the business, public and non-profit sectors and also graduates from several disciplines, on key issues to advance in the sustainable development of societies and the social responsibility of organizations.

This postgraduate training will deal in a transversal, multidisciplinary and from an eminently practical perspective, given its nature of continuous training, the sustainability and social responsibility and innovation of administrations and public bodies, companies and non-profit entities, with special emphasis on the more innovative initiatives that contribute to the joint creation of economic, social and environmental value.

Objectives

The Postgraduate Course in Sustainability and Social Innovation is aimed at providing specialized training and, specifically, at transmitting the theoretical knowledge and practical skills that allow participants to improve their professional specialization or to develop a career in related fields.

The specific objectives of the training program, which will carry out a complete itinerary on the key aspects of the subject of specialization, are the following:

  • Dominate the theoretical and conceptual support of sustainability and social innovation.
  • Deepen in the best practices of sustainability, both inside and outside of Spain, and in particular in the most innovative ones.
  • Participate in the process of evaluation and formulation of proposals to improve sustainability practices and social innovation, emphasizing its strategic utility for organizations and their competitive environment.

Prices/Grants

Registration fee: € 600

The grants are aimed primarily at university graduates with potential for professional excellence and who are not working during the teaching period of the course. They will be awarded based on the following criteria:

Average grade of the academic record: basic criterion

Knowledge level of English: decisive criterion in case of a tie

Grants are available in the amount of 50% of the registration fee (€ 300) provided by the Inditex-UDC Chair of Sustainability for 40% of the students.

At present, the Postgraduate Course in Sustainability and Social Innovation does not have an internship program or employment exchange.

The registration fee will not be refunded once the payment has been made.
